Advanced Video Systems has been serving the Baltimore region since 1983. Today, we provide high-quality video productions, multimedia services and video for the web, consumer services, and equipment rentals. Our decades of expertise in the creative media arts provides us with the tools and the passion necessary to give each customer and each project the personal attention needed to obtain a workable, effective, and affordable solution. In short, to provide complete quality video and communications services that meet our customer's specific needs.

Our Staff
Stacy Gillis
Stacy (Chait) Gillis is a Baltimore, MD native who moved to rural Carroll County, MD in the 80's. With a combination of a Business degree and a Film/Video degree, Stacy is a formidable entrepreneur and expert in the video medium arena. In 1983, Stacy along with her husband Larry, launched Advanced Video Systems, Inc. a full service video, video equipment rental and production company.
With almost three decades of media, with a high concentration in video expertise, Stacy has developed an innovative revenue model involving successful marketing of 200 video clubs that began in the '80's. Though the industry has changed dramatically since she first entered it, Stacy has stayed ahead with forward thinking ideas designed to maintain the flow of business and grow revenue and market share. She is presently involved in nationalizing the concept beyond the initial regional clubs and consumer services.
Stacy, always a thought leader - was the first business owner to have a website included in the "Yellow Pages". As social media's reach evolved, and the need for video increased Advanced Video Systems, under Stacy's leadership has risen to the occasion to allow customers a wide range of products and services to meet today's technology needs.
Andrew Levin
Andrew Levin is a 2011 Graphic Design alumni of the Maryland Institute College of Art. Andrew's wide spectrum of talents include Illustration, Photography, Video Editing, Designing, and Programming.

Film to DVD Transfers
As you may or may not know, film breaks down and image quality deteriorates over time. Advanced Video Systems can transfer your Super 8, 16mm and 8mm home movies to DVD. Not only will you be able to conveniently show your movies to friends and family, but you'll gain peace of mind knowing you have it all archived, preserving your most precious memories for generations even after the original reels are no longer useable. Advanced Video Systems can make multiple copies and even personalize your movies with background music and chapter titles.
Videotape to DVD Transfers
They say we learn from history, and if history has taught us one thing, it's that leg warmers are not really as fashionable as people think they are. Remember this and other nostalgic fashion miststeps with a glimpse into your past. While those VHS memories might be something you'd rather forget, your fade and your fads should never be lost.
We transfer from all tape formats to DVD, including Video8, Hi-8, Digital 8, VHS, Betacam, Betamax, VHS-C, ¾", and Mini-DV.

Our editors can even create a custom DVD montage of all your pictures with background music and captions.
Records and Cassettes to CD Transfers
A generation ago, music meant vinyl albums or audio cassette tapes. Who doesn't have stacks of records or tapes tucked away somewhere, gathering dust? Advanced Video Systems can transfer your records and tapes to CD. Like film and video, records and tapes can break down and show deterioration over time - specifically through warping, stretching or breaking. Plus, record players and cassette decks aren't indestructable and are harder to buy or repair as time goes on.

Audio, Video, and Image Restoration
Advanced Video Systems specialises in multimedia restoration. If your photos, slides, or audio recordings have deteriorated, our restorative services can help improve clarity and bring back color or sound quality. We can recover details to faded photos and reduce the noise, pops, hiss, and scratches on vinyl records. We also work to correct problems with color and exposure.
Please note: Restoration is dependent upon condition of source material.
Seriously damaged original materials may be unable to be restored, regardless of technique.

Mail Us Your Memories
At Advanced Video Systems, we take pride in putting our customers first. That's why we've made shipping your materials nearly effortless.
- Make sure your media is labeled. Arrange your slides, photos, and films by date. Put titles on your tapes and casettes. If you don't know what's on them, you can just write on your discs when you get them back.
- Take your media to your FedEx or UPS store and have them packaged. Be sure to include your contact information inside the box including your phone number and email address. Get a tracking number and send your box to: Advanced Video Systems — 11447 Cronhill Drive, Suite G. — Owings Mills, MD 21117
- That's it! We'll give you a call and give you an estimate. If you don't like the price, we'll ship it back to at no cost.
